My name is Jawad Alazzeh. I am a student at King’s Academy in Madaba, Jordan in the 12th grade. I am an aspiring archeologist with an interest in learning about ancient history around the world. I have spent my summers at the Center for American Archaeology (CAA) in Illinois where I worked on the German Site (800-1200 CE) for two weeks, and at Archaeospain on the Roman Fortress Pulpon built in the first century CE in Castilla, Spain. A research paper on the history of Jordan through maps sparked my interest in ancient history. I expanded my project to include a deep-dive into examining maps directly through accessing library archives, and interviewing experts to receive their guidance and wisdom. My results and their insights are documented in my podcast.
